In person gatherings

11 am - 12:15 pm EDT | 8 am - 9:15 am PDT

Zoom link: See the signature of any Teacher Community email

All Teacher Community members welcome, no special preparation necessary (please do click here to see the draft guidelines for participation).

This will be a lot like the practice teaching that we do in teacher trainings: we'll have a list of suggested practices for each week, and everyone who shows up will take turns teaching (we'll use breakout rooms if we get more than 4-5 people).  We'll come back at the top of the hour to discuss (so if you need to leave then, that's OK).

Bonnie Foote will be hosting for July and August, after which we'll also have other volunteers rotating in as hosts.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Fridays starting July 5th

Nature, Culture, Community

Summer of 2025: Toronto, Canada

Summer of 2026: Portland, OR or Seattle, WA

All year, 2027: Regional and special-interest gatherings (Midwest? Northeast? Europe? Asia / AUS / NZ? RP and Movement? RP and Expressive Arts? It's up to you)

These will be co-created gatherings, but we already know a few things for 2025:

Meet in a natural setting:

Our main meeting times will be during the day on Saturday and Sunday. We'll likely rent meeting space at the Toronto Botanical Garden. Even if we end up at a different location, we'll take time to practice and be in nature together.

Connect with RP Teachers:

We'll spend quality time practicing and talking together, nurturing connections, brainstorming projects, and diving into the topics that we all love to think and talk about. We'll have at least one Open Space Technology session, where we choose our own topics and then go into breakouts for discussion.

Explore the Toronto area:

On your own or with RP friends, you can check out the world-class restaurants, markets, and food halls, take in the art at museums like the Royal Ontario and the Aga Khan Museum of Islamic Art, or listen to a concert at the waterfront Music Garden co-designed by Yo-Yo Ma. Or take a day trip to Niagara Falls or further afield to some of Ontario's 250,000 freshwater lakes.

Thinking about it?
